This is a newer type of Botulism toxin similar to Botox. Although not proven, some people feel the onset may be a bit sooner than Botox and may last a bit longer. One disadvantage is it tends to spread more in the tissue in which it is injected and therefore may paralyze adjacent muscles which you do not want paralyzed causing, for example, a droopy eyelid or double vision. These problems, if they occurred would never be permanent and can also happen with Botox.
