Painless, Risk-free & Limitless
Want to shrink those jowls a bit? Perhaps tighten your underarms? Or maybe stop gobbler comments about your throat?
Exilis is a non-surgical procedure with no downtime, no recovery, no risk and no complications. Dr. Jeff Popp said you can have a treatment and go right back to what you were doing. View Dr Popps introduction to Exilis Treatment below.
How Exilis works
Exilis uses radio frequency energy applied through a hand piece. The hand piece is moved over the tummy, face, arms or wherever you want tighter skin.
“These radio frequency waves heat the collagen in the skin and cause it to tighten,” he said. “Although it can melt some fat, it’s actually a skin-tightening procedure.”
Everyone in the office is trained to do Exilis. It’s the one procedure Dr. Popp doesn’t do.
“It takes some time, meaning it’s not necessarily fast, depending on your goals,” he said. “You could do a treatment and wait a week and do another. The number of treatments runs between four and six so it could take that many weeks to finish.”
Exilis versus Surgery
The results from Exilis aren’t as dramatic as those from surgery because, simply put, it’s not surgery. This can be both an attraction and a distraction.
“People who want to look as good as they can might not choose this modality,” Dr. Popp said. “On the other hand, people afraid of surgery or who don’t have the money for surgery might choose this to tide them over.”
Exilis Treats Any Size Area
Because Exilis is used primarily for skin-tightening, you can treat whatever sized area you want, whether it’s your entire stomach or a small spot in the neck.
He said they treat one to two people with Exilis each week.
“It’s best for those in their 30s and 40s who are maybe a little over-obsessed with how their jowls or neck look and they want to be proactive,” Dr. Popp.
“The worst thing that could happen is nothing.”
