Be Certain to Verify Claims of Surgery Results

June 10th, 2010

Many companies promoting new cosmetic surgery products make claims they are: “better”, “create more skin tightening”, “provide quicker recovery”, “are less painful”, etc., etc. The simplest way to verify this is ask your cosmetic surgeon if he can provide you a copy of a peer reviewed journal article which supports the claim. In other words ask for proof, not just an opinion. If he or she cannot, then be weary of the claim. If you are not comfortable evaluating a medical article, ask you family doctor or nurse to read it and give their findings.
