Pat Brewer
Medical Secretary/Clinical Assistant
Pat has been employed by Popp Cosmetic Surgery since 1989. With a background as a Medical Assistant, Pat is incredibly knowledgeable about the various clinical procedures and surgeries performed at our office. Pat truly has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She is the mom at the office, the one we look to for advice on everything. She makes every patient feel like an old friend and if doesn’t have an answer for you, she will always find it, ensuring you are taken care of.
Clinical and Surgical Coordinator
Amanda has been employed at Popp Cosmetic Surgery since 2004. With nearly 20 years of nursing experience under her belt, she makes time to pause and teach her patients the details about what it takes to do each procedure, big or small. When a patient, coworker or one of her daughters are worried about something whether it’s life, pre surgery jitters or detailed post op care, she has a solution. She’s terrific at planning ahead for healthy meals as well as surgery preparation. Although she works from dusk until dawn going above and beyond, she still is available to kick back and relax whether it’s at the lake or on the slopes! Get ready to come in for a confidence boost and a smile when you meet Amanda.
Marijke Cavanaugh, R.N., B.S.N.
Clinical and Surgical Nurse
Marijke has been employed at Popp Cosmetic Surgery since 2018 while working in the front office during nursing school. She graduated with her BSN from Nebraska Methodist College. After working a year in the ICU, she joined our office staff as a full-time nurse. Marijke is one of the most lighthearted, kindest humans to creatures both big and small. If you can’t pronounce her name right away, she will smile and say “Just call me Marge!” Marijke is lover of sunshine and warm summer days. She and her husband enjoy walking with their dogs and traveling to warm destinations by the beach to explore the ocean by scuba diving with the nurse sharks and other sea life. She always has a spark of humor in anything she does and helps her coworkers and patients with empathy and a glowing smile.
Angela Burbeck
Medical Secretary
Angie has been with us since July of 2021. She has a big heart and a laugh that is so contagious that it will make you smile as you hear it from across the room. She has patience training and teaching her coworkers the ins and outs of the medical industry. She takes time to connect with our patients and helps each person she meets with her down to earth attitude at any given time. Even though Angie is outstanding at organizing spreadsheets or finding solutions to ensure our business runs smoothly behind the scenes, she still makes time to attend her son’s baseball games and attend concerts and music festivals.
Lucy
Lucy joined our team on June 1 of 2022. She has worked as a dermatology receptionist for almost 10 yrs before joining our team as surgery coordinator. Lucy is Happy-go-lucky and her enthusiasm is infectious. It’s rare to see her without an upbeat attitude and a smile on her face. She hopes to make everyone’s day a little bit brighter. She is lover of Mother Earth as she spends her free time going for hikes, bicycle rides, identifying plants, foraging for mushrooms and naming which bird is singing each song. She enjoys exotic foods and travels to far away lands. Her husband says she makes a new friend at each new outing or concert. Don’t let her squirrely-ness fool you because she also can be serious and gets the work done!
Erica
Our newest member to our team, joining January 1, 2023! You wouldn’t know she was new here, as she has fit in with us right away with her ability to jump in to phone calls and greeting patients. Erica was with Southwest airlines in their customer service department for almost 25yrs before joining our crew. If she doesn’t have an answer she will find it, making sure our patients feel cared for. When Erica isn’t spending her mornings with us she is attending a multitude of sports and activities with her daughter or traveling with her husband and other older children.
